We can only accept your will and say thank you, Lord God Almighty.
It is with a very heavy heart that we write this tribute to an awesome woman who is painfully no more with us but resting in the bosom of the Lord God of Hosts.
She took us in and treated us like one of her own, we couldn’t have asked for more. God gave us two sets of parents, our biological parents first, then Mama and Daddy Barnes (as we affectionately call them).
Mama so took us under her wings that even in recent times when we have all grown and are managing our homes, Mama still sent our favourite food to us ever so often. Yes, she knew our favourite dishes and our spouses were not left out. She would drive over with the surprises which had to be protected from our kids who wanted the lion’s share. Nyonu’s home still has savouries and the famous bunch of plantain you wrote her name on.
Mama, we cannot say thank you enough for your love, care and concern. You have always been there for us, your home is our second home where we are assured of food and shelter even without prior notice. There is a lot to write about you and the sweet memories we have of you including your discipline.
Thank you Mama!! Thank you so much. YOU REMAIN FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.
