TRIBUTE TO PROF. MRS ANNA REYNOLDS BARNES NEE ABBAN FROM THE 1964 YEAR GROUP OF WESLEY GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL.

The 1964 year group has lost a star, a sister and a friend.
Anna, your life began in Takoradi but your journey with us started in January 1960 at Cape Coast, when we all started as form 1 students at Wesley Girls’ High School. That lifetime journey ended painfully on November 29, 2020, a date that will be indelibly etched in our hearts and in our minds; a date none of us will ever forget for as long as we live.
Between 1960 and 2020, a 60-year span, you became our steadfast sister, our constant friend, our trusted colleague, always ready to lend a hand, to bring presents and offer advice.
In your professional life you imparted knowledge of agriculture science to your students. To us, your 1964 sisters, you taught us values such as sisterhood, love, unyielding loyalty, honesty, integrity, selflessness, all as a shining example of a phenomenal and a formidable woman.
Ewura Anna, words cannot describe our devastation and grief. But, even in our distraught, we all feel blessed that you touched our lives, you gave us the privilege of knowing you. You gave us the opportunity to call you a sister and a friend and offered us an immeasurable pleasure of knowing that you loved us as much as we loved you.
We mourn you, we salute you and we celebrate your life. May we live by your example and standard and may your memory rain showers of blessings on those you have left behind - your husband, Edwin, your children, grandchildren, in-laws, siblings and us, your forever sisters.
Journey on, sweet sister.
Rest in Eternal Peace and May Your Soul Find Solace With The Lord.
